The budget committee of the Bundestag has approved a 783,3 million € budget for the acquisition of ammunition of which 203,1 million is earmarked for Ukraine. Small arms, 30mm, 120mm and 155mm ammunition will be purchased with this budget.
155mm: 322,2 million € will be used for 155mm artillery ammunition. Germany will receive 50.000 shells by 2026 and Ukraine will receive 25.000 shells by 2025.
Orders go to RHM and ARGE DiNa155mm GbR – with Diehl and Nammo whom will receive a framework agreement for up to 333.333 shells which include additional deliveries to Ukraine.
120mm: 381,1 million € for 120mm tank ammunition. Germany will receive 40.000 rounds of DM11/DM73/DM63A1 by 2025 and Ukraine will receive 16.500 KE/HE rounds.
In addition to this the framework agreement for this type was increased from 120.800 to 186.500 of which 44.000 shells are earmarked for Ukraine.
30mm: 67,6 million € for 30mm ammunition for the Puma. 70.000 rounds of DM21 will be delivered to the BW by RHM before the end of the year.
Small arms: A framework agreement with Metallwerk Elisenhütte GmbH calls for 135 million rounds of 7,62 NATO of which 16 million rounds worth 15.6 million € are to be called up immediately.
2023 will see an expected total of 32 million rounds ordered with additional orders for 4.5 million to 20 million for every following year till 2029.
